That's a MasterCard thing.. stupid bastards. What I would suggest is doing a direct bank transfer (e-check) and tell MC to go stick it where the sun don't shine and get a Visa, or if you don't have a paypal account, just drop a check or M/O in the mail.

He's NOT saying anything bad about you.
Paypal is a much easier way to pay for stuff on the internet than using credit cards
because of the restrictions put on Mastercard.
