Ceronix Monitors 1490;

Problem; Blackout.
Solution; Repl. 159B (Horizontal nadjustment resistor)

Problem; Power supply churping (blackout)
Solution; Repl. 225 & 226.

Problem; No characters, green screen.
Solution; Repl. 34G (green video amp).

Problem; Pwr. supply churping
Solution; Repl. 126 (vertical pwr amp) & 125 (capacitor).

Problem; Black across the top half of the CRT.
Solution; Repl. 125 (capacitor).

Problem; Power supply churping.
Solution; Repl. Flyback XFMR.

Problem; Backround colors fade after a couple seconds after being turned up.
Solution; Repl. 087 (Xistor, part of composit blanking ckt).

Problem; Bad video.
Solution; Repl. 164B (470 ohm 1/2 W resistor) & 030 (Current limiting ckt).

Problem; Screen red.

Back in 1992 the casino I worked for in Las Vegas sponsered a Ceronix seminar put on by IGT, I'm going to attempt to copy the hand out that was given at the start of the seminar.  IGT's monitor specialist (Manny) did the presentation, especially useful is the last three pages (I hope they are not too worn to copy well).  I'll try to post three pages at a time so it won't be too overwhelming.

The leg wetting final three pages...you can take my notes and use them or ignore them...your choice!

*NOTE* The flow chart refers to a 1492 monitor...some of my notes refer to a 1490 monitor as indicated by a "90" in the note.
