Belbtech,
I have this PSA-66-ST Future Logic Printer that I bought off a member here...
The only numbers I see on it is "4Mbit" and "PSA-66-ST". On the side , there's a sticker that says "S R.2.5.7 PSA-66-ST 04-14-04"
He didn't have any thing else with it except for a power supply. The output of the PS is "24V 2.7A".
I don't know if these numbers will help?
I would like to try to put it in 2 machines to try them out and see if they can be made to work with each other.
I think it would fun to print out tickets using my own logos and designs, sort of like what the real casinos use?
However, I think I need to make a serial cable and install some sort of software on a computer to program it to work.
Would you know how this printer-to-computer cable is pinned out at the connectors and if you would a copy of the logo programming cd to use with it?
Any help on this of course is truly appreciated....
I know a few members have these but are only being used as doorstops or paperweights! Tongue Out

Hi "Stay...",

If you can send me an email address, I have a RS232 printer manual that may help you with your project...I tried to post it here (twice), but the site said it was too BIG!!!  Go figure...

God bless,

When you get the printers to work it is easy to change the casino name.

To change ticket name:
1. Go to Options
2. 3.1 Machine
3. 3.1.10 Printer
4. 3.1.10.1 Data Entry
5. Can only change one letter, number or symbol at a time by scrolling side to side.

Here is example.

FYI - these instructions are for an IGT S2000 machine....

Are you saying that the S2000 is used to program the Future Logic Printer by test button/panel button/reset switch key options
or are these printers programmed via some sort of CD/DVD type of software and a computer such as a laptop/desktop?

On a IGT S2000, you can change 2 lines of text direct from the slot machine itself, you do not need to connect the printer to a computer or anything.  First you have to get your printer working on the S2000 - then you would get a ticket similar to the 1st one in Ron's post.  Then, via the options menu and following Ron's instructions - you can change it to say whatever you want - like Ron's 2nd and 3rd ticket. You mentioned logo's and such in your original post - I have no idea how to do this and have never seen it done at any Casino I ever visit - at least not on the front of the ticket.  They always look like the 1st one in Ron's post.

If you can't get your printer to print anything, you've got something else going on - let us know and we can help - I've been through this multiple times Smiley

There will be some great deals on S2000 machines at the Chicago show in April - I'm not sure where you are located since your profile map shows you in the middle of the Atlantic ocean...

the PSA-66-ST is just the model number for the Gen1 RS-232 printer, the S R.2.5.7 designates the firmware version loaded on the printer.  each manufacturer has their own printer firmware version that is compatible for their machines; i couldn't match your version to any of mine so i can't tell you which manufacturer yours is for  bawling  if you want to download a manual go to www.happcontrols.com, click on "gaming" on the left side of the screen, click on "futurelogic" in the list, then click on "product support" and you will see the link to download a manual.  propeller  there's also the kit for downloading new firmware from a PC but you could probably make one for much less than their cost.  i'm sure someone around NLG can hook you up with the FLI Downloader program to do the firmware change, i would but we keep the CD with it locked up at my casino for some reason.  you could probably send Happ an e-mail asking what manufacturer your firmware version is for also, their customer service is pretty good.  applause
