My girlfriend and I just bought a slant top 550 machine. With the intention of upgrading to NXT eventually. Since we will have several different games for the 550 before we upgrade just wondering if it is difficult or impossible to switch back and forth between playing chip sets for the 550 to SD cards for the NXT?

Hi.

The upgrade to NXT involves the change of the processor board and some wiring related to the power supply.

If you keep both boards and you know what you're doing, it won't be dificult to go back and forth between platforms.

Cheers.

The attachment of the first post shows the conversion I did some years ago... It's very simple and self explanatory. It's the one I can comment on.

Attached to this post I leave other documents that I think reffers to older conversion hardware that I don't know but might help in case you get the older one.

Cheers.
