I hope someone can help me with this problem.

A friend of mine bought 10 complete comparators with coin-in optics and harness, but the molex plugs are 15 pins instead of the usual 12 pins.
Thats why I have to rebuild the molex connectors so that they will fit and work.
The problem is that the coin-in opto board have 5 wires in instead of the 8 ones i'm used to.

So the question is; how can I get the 5 wired one to work instead of the 8 wired?

Wont work - The ones you got are for the IGame/S2000 platform. Voltages and circuitry are different between those and S+/PE+. Maybe place a Want To Swap in the classifieds section.

Hmm maybe I just leave the optics and swap the comparator. I also need to bypass the electronic coin acceptor card.

That won't work either as your coin comparitors are running with 24Volts.
The coin comparitor on the right is a 12 volt.

Plug on of those into your harness and turn on the power switch...  :72-

Basic rule of thumb on coin comparitors...>>>
if the 2 wires on top are green - it's a 12 volt
If the 2 wires are gray - it's a 24 volt.

there is something wierd it the machine i'm trying to convert (it's a PE+ poker). Here's the deal:

In the poker machine there was a electronic acceptor (NRI (g13 i belive)) it runs on 12V
I've tried the harness from the rwb in the picture and it wouldn't work with the 12V comparator
But it does work with the 24V comparator.

What's up with that?
Is there 12V AND 24V in the molex plug to the harness?

BTW I haven't seen (or smelled) any smoke what so ever during this testing.
