Title: Ignorance vs arrogance.
Post by: Neonkiss on October 07, 2013, 10:15:41 PM
When I was MUCH younger I use to love to build radio-controlled airplanes. I think it was because you opened up a box and all it had was balsa wood sticks. You had to actually read and follow the directions. There was NOTHING written on the plans that was not absolutely necessary. If you didn't understand it, you read it again and again until it made complete sense. When you were done it was a thing of pride and sometimes it scared the hell out of you to even fly the dam thing for fear of wrecking it (Thank God for beer)

I guess I progressed from those days to technical manuals. If you skim through them your bound to miss something and what ever it is your working on won't work. People please, read the F$@&ing instructions....
But for the life of me I can't understand why you can tell people how something works or what steps it takes to make it work and all they appear to hear is just the last step of the process. Then they get all pissed when it still won't work.  :103-
All I can say is they need to slow down, collect their own thoughts, formulate an opinion and work out a solution. If it takes a day so be it or as Jim once said, "go the store and get a cold drink."

I don't mind helping anyone who doesn't understand how to do something, but if you choose not to follow the directions be humble, not arrogant.
Just needed to vent, so I'll climb down off my soapbox.  :210- :210-

You mean like the customer who's gotten himself in a 61 loop 3 times now by not following simple instructions??????  :279- :279- :279-  Hes too cheap to pay for a housecall...or Clear chip (and frankly, probably couldn't follow the process anyway), too lazy to bring the machine over (Quote "Do you know how heavy that machine is??? I can't load it by myself!"), but while he's here, he won't stop over-talking us and nodding (because he knows it all already) long enough to listen!! All we here is: "Yeah, yeah, key, white button, shut the door, or white button, door, and key, whatever, I got it, I got it, yeah, yeah, yeah...oh and thanks, what do i owe you? here's $5"...

Good thing is that he is ALMOST convinced that we are complete idiots and know NOTHING about S+ machines....if only he would lose our phone number now!

Sorry, that's the end of my vent..

Couldn't have been any worse than not very good. If it had been terrible it would of been her giving you the shaft instead of you just getting it and I think you'd remember it for sure :72- So count your blessings...

You know the Federal Government doesn't take more that 75% there's no reason a Wife should.  ( Spousal support/alimony - the screwing you get for the screwing you got )

Hey I'll bring a boat up and Darrell and I can go fishing, after my little talk with him he will come home with a different attitude.   ( No charge to NLG members for my advice )

Hummm anchor  :103- :103-  Who said Women don't get a good ideas everynow and then.

Depends on the bate your using, I get mine from a oldtimer up in Mojave. you  don't even need a pole, just light the fuse, chuck it in the water, and run like hell. I do loose a lot of anchors.

Would you prefer the term " Ball and Chain "  ???????????????????

I read the definition of a Wife is a " gadget you screw on your bed and it does your house work for you "

I'm holding out for a guest appearance on the Rich and Famous show.
