Title: How to RAM clear and start new software?
Post by: KirkLasVegas on January 17, 2009, 10:59:05 PM
I have a UV1700 that I want to change to Big Top Circus. I have the clear chip and new software chip and CD. What is the proper way to clear this machine? i would imagine it's...

1> remove program chip
2. insert clear chip
3>clear RAM
4>insert new program chip and CD
5> Initialize game....
I don't know which socket is the correct one....

I got it going! Thanks to Paul for walking me thru the software setup. This was a conversion from "Full of Sheep" to "BigTop Circus".
I got to tell ya, i don't know who at Smegma designs their hardware, but yanking the transmission out of my car would be easier than changing the glass in a UV-1700.

here is the Project...

Kirk, looks good. I think the Full of Sheep graphics look better, but I understand the need to change things up a bit every now & then. With all those new aquisitions, you might just have to get a gaming license yourself! I think you'll like the Vision Pinball as well as the Munsters. Sorry we couldn't get together when I was in Vegas, not enough time for everything I wanted to do.

Thanks Dan :)
We missed ya this time, figured you were swamped/short of time.
It was nice to change out the game on the Sigma. We were bored with "Full of Sheep", Bigtop looked like fun, also got the software for Throw the Dough (future change).
I picked up 2 Visions this weekend, the "Munsters" was a good find.
Let us know when your coming to town, the dinner invite is always good :)
