Hi,
My Gorgar has been kicking my butt. When I got it originally I sent the boards out , psu,sound,mpu and driver. Had them updated and repaired.
Then it was only played here and there for the next few months. After finally giving it a good couple hour playing it burned up 2 soleiods but did not shut down. Replaced the 2 burned soleniods and now I beleive I am having driver issues as it won't boot. My question is,: Is it worth it to upgrade to the Rottendog combo board or just get the boards looked at from who did them originally? I really don't want it to nickel and dime me. Any help is appr. Mike

from my experience with a black knight pinball, I would bite the bullet and get the upgraded board. Those driver boards for the Williams games have been so hacked through the years, that they are hard to keep up and running.

If it was me I would either sell pin asis or keep a eye out for a working  shuffle  alley for same year we changed boards from them to pins a few time, used to find shuffles working for around 100 bucks in auctions

i have a willaims flash and put the rotten dog displays in it. worth every penny. the old master would take a while to "warm up" and eventually would come up. i just recently bought the rotten dog mpu for this game and like the alltek for bally i figured it would be good to have on hand to test other machines. i picked it up on the clearnace/ repair sectionj of jims website for 165. seamed reasonable to me.

I've had good and bad rottendog boards...the 1st board I received was so warped I took photographs of it and sent them to the company...they sent me a new board.
However, the replacement board eventually had a header pin failure from a cold solder joint.
It pissed me off so much I wrote back to them again and they sent me another one.
This time I haven't had any problems...uh...yet.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one...
They are NOT cheap boards but use the same old header pin connections which is so outdated.
