Ron,
Glad I could help you out.

For whose who are dieing to know what fixed it, I am not going to tell.

Just kidding. All my setting were correct. We unhooked the J15 connection and shorted out the coin in and the ground.
It showed C-51 and flashed back to the original amount, over and over. I turned the power off to the CHAMMII+ and it
reset itself. Hook the J15 connection back, and it worked.

I would guess it was my twisted wire connection (instead of soldering it) to the J15 plug that was at fault. All had worked
before the select credit value button was installed. Who would have guessed it would be a connection?

Ron,
Glad I could help you out.

I want to publicly thank Foster for his phone help. I had been been working off and on trying to
fix this for several months. I had used the key chip to change/look at  the settings at least 20 times.
Read and reread the posts about it until I was about to give up. Out of the many talented people here,
Foster stepped up to the plate and offered to help me. I thank him very much. He is a good man in my book.

Ron (r273)

You can paypal me any time for the endorsement. rotflmao

If 597 and your base supports multi-denom  then I believe it should be done the same way.

Do you have 5 5 2 displays or 6 6 3 displays?
5 5 2 means the display has 5 digits each for Winner Paid, Credits and 2 digits for Credits/coins Played.
6 6 3 means the display has 6 digits each for Winner Paid, Credits and 3 digits for Credits/coins Played.

IF the player display is a 6 6 3 display to use multi-denom you have to have the touch pad and LED box behind the reel glass.
The player button on the deck will not function with a 6 6 3 display.

The reason is the touch pad controller logic is part of the 6 6 3 display board.

IF you have the touch pads and they act like they are not functioning try moving the wiring between the touch pad on the glass and the LED box.

IF you have the 6 6 3 you can not add a button to the player deck that would be used to select the credit value.
The machine will not let you since it detects the the touch pad controller hardware that is part of he 6 6 3 board.

You have to get the touch pad parts for the machines without them if they have the 6 6 3 display it will not work any other way.
The other option is to change the 6 6 3 to 5 5 2 then you can use the player button on the deck.

You can not substitute the button for the touch pad on any machine with the 6 6 3.
