So I'm going to dabble a bit into I-games.  My 17" Game King has the single row deck of buttons.  I only max bet anyway.  If I get any I-game software and install it, can I play the games with the single row button deck?  I know some functionality with the buttons being MIA, but can I use the touch screen instead?

Thanks,
Jason

Hey Jason,

I can't believe I'm providing the answer because I consider you the GK expert with your awesome collection and all the help you've given me.  Yes, you absolutely can.  I have both i-Games and poker for my GK's and they're easily interchangeable, even with only one set of buttons.  You can use the screen if you want to vary your bet amount, otherwise, max bet works too.  The only button that won't work is the BET ONE.

By the way, not sure if you do this, I keep an extra eeprom chip with each MPU, so when I swap out an MPU, I also swap out the eeprom on the motherboard so I don't have to reconfigure poker every time.  It retains the credits in the machine and gives you real plug-n-play action.  Definitely makes swapping games fast.  I think I read that some folks solder a trace on the MPU to bypass the eeprom, but I haven't tried that.

Thanks Dave.  I thought that would be the case, but I wanted to make sure.  Glad I could help you out as well.
