      I purchased a Cherry master game that was pushed over. I can only guess why. After all, it was in a bar. When it was toppled the crt. was broken.  I have been trying to find a replacement crt. is there anyone out there that can help me with this  "Significant emotional event."  I need my cheesey puffs.

The one you need depends on the game board. It could be a standard resolution (CGA) or a high resolution (VGA)... You can find monitors on eBay or as near as your closest arcade operator.

Heck, you can find 'em cheap if you can live with a little screen burn. Just put some tinted plexi in front of it and turn the brightness up a bit and you won't notice.

                    Being new to this, how would I know if it is a (cga) or a (vga) game board?

If your board can let you plug something like this into it - then it's VGA capable.
If it just has a header with 5 or 6 pins coming straight out somewhere,
usually with red/blue/green/black/yellow/white wire - then it's CGA.
If your board looks like this.
It may be able to do both types>>>

A CGA monitor (Usually rounded somewhat) and a regular computer VGA monitor( usually flat)>>>
