Do I need a key chip tp set them, and do you know if I need to change any dips on the progressive also? Right now all the dips on the progressive are set to off. It depends on which version of the software is installed on the Spectrum. If you have the right software version (SDF100) - turn S1 switch #2 on - all others off...that should do it. Post by: opman on July 13, 2010, 09:50:21 AM The newer software such as sdf104,sdf111,sdf112 all stay one color which you can change to red, green, orange with the dips on the back but if you want it to scroll different colors you will need to find and change the plcc chip in the back of the spectrum to an sdf 100 to get it to scroll.
