Hi, is it possible to put a spectrum in an I-game? Specifiacally in an I-game with Alien in it.
The spectrum was in a vision and works. I plugged the spectrum into the netplex in the i-game. The spectrum is sitting on the top of the chop top. The spectrum works, but does not show the message that I have typed when selected and only shows one amount when that is selected to show the award amount.
Thank you

Mike,
I have a Spectrum controller in my "Mystic Mermaid" I-Game. On the programming page it shows up and it's enabled, but I have not connected a display to it.
I like the idea of it in the player tracking bar area.
What display are you using???

I found this in an IGT document if that helps......

SDF104 is required for controller boards with part number 75512602.
SD0111 or SD0112 is required for controller boards with part number 75512600.
SD0092 for controller boards with part number 75508400.
NOTE:  For spectrum text messaging capability, SDF104, SD0112, or later versions must be used.

Are you positive Alien supports Progressive to begin with?

Assuming it does, then you have to upgrade to SD0111 or SD0112 for your controller board with part number 75512600.

Hi, I don't get a option for progressive settings. I get the setup for spectrum message and showing award during player playing. I would be happy with it just scrolling a message while playing ALien. Seeing I change games frequently, alittle goes along way for me, thanks
How would I upgrade the sd?

The netplex sprectrum board should have a PLCC eprom in the socket, probably at location U2. Those can be taken out and replaced with a different Eprom with the right version required.

Someone correct me if I am wrong on this but if you don't get an option for progressive settings then the game does not support progressive.

Agreed, most if not all of the IGT stand-alone 3902 video slots do not support progressive.

The I+ gameking supports it but not the video slots.

Hi, I hear what your saying, but why would it have the option for the spectrum to be enabled, show the award amount and show a message. Yes, then it would not be used as a progressive on that game, but used for those two purposes. I know that on some of the gk card games it is supported. What I-games support level one stand alone progressive?  Scratch Head

Also I thought that even if the game doesn't support progressive that there were pre-programmed messages like attracts  and the ability to program some of your own sayings in as well???

Correct. Tacman understands. If I could get an updated plcc eprom for the sd eprom, I should be able to have the attract/ my message scroll across the progressive screen.
