where were you ON September 11th, 2001

Do you remember where you were or what you were doing when you heard the news?

I was in reno nevada with my wife "GCMOMMY" and at that time my 3 kids.
I just got off work "graveyard" from circus circus casino as I took a EO that night...   Scratch Head Scratch Head Scratch Head as I was not feeling well that night. 
and was just going to bed when we got the news with a phone call from mom and dad..

I was at home on day off.
I got a phone call from my brother telling me what was going on...I did not believe him.
Turned on TV and was in shock...still couldn't believe even though seeing. Then 2nd plane
struck. At first we thought they were re-playing the 1st strike then realized it was a 2nd hit.
Just couldn't believe it. Was on the phone with him for awhile then as soon as I hung up with
him my wife called said she had been trying to call me to tell me about it.

I sat glued to the TV the rest of the day.

I had just been laid off from WB and was visiting my mom as I hadn't had the chance to see her in quite a while. She woke me up and told me that terrorists had flown a plane into the World Trade center, and I really didn't believe it until I went into the living room and saw the broadcast. We also spent most of the day watching the coverage.

I was IM'ing with a friend and received an OMG a plane just flew into the World Trade Center.
I was thinking Cesna - small single prop, and asked the question how big of a plane was it.
Then I got another OMG a second Jetliner just flew into the second tower.
Now I knew I was having my chain yanked, and replied if that was the case it would be all over the news.
I tried to get to bring up a second browser CNN.com, MSN.com etc - and couldn't - they were overloaded.
Just then my company tuned in the news in the board room.

We had to evcauate our building - in Coraopolis PA just east of the airport as the FBI came to our building and told us there was another plane in the air, with terrorists on it heading our way.
We were just in a 5 story office park but scary none the less. 25min later we heard of the plane crashing in Shanksville. Conspiricy theories abound but I still think this one was brought down by a US missle. I suspect that by the time we were told to evacuate the plane had already passed by and war planes were scrambled from the PA military base.

I was at my home trying to get to sleep as usual..... sleep  Help

I was still half awake (I am on the West Coast) with either HLN or FOX NEWS on. I was groggy at first, but quickly realized the situation and began calling to wake all of my family. Glued to the tube and phone for some time! Saw everything unfold from the start of the broadcasts.  bawling

I woke up to the news on the clock radio, just after the first one hit. The news people were still thinking it was accidental, and I turned on the TV in time to watch the second plane hit. It was obvious from that point that it was intentional. It was a pretty somber day at work, especially when we found out a coworker was on board Flight 77.
