I have a fortune I  that needs a new monitor and I found a guy that has a bunch of used monitors out of the cherry master games. His monitors are Wells gardner 7302 and also Vision Pro (Wells 7302). My question is, will these replace my RGB 1401 and what is the procedure for doing the the change out?

Probably not.
The 1401 uses the inverse color (reverse sync ?) and is a plague to the IGT Fortune & PE series.
A bunch of us want to upgrade to LCD however the standard LCD won't work.
There is a thread on converting these but it still strikes me as not exactly a turn key solution.

I don't know enough about the wells gartner and others if they use the same.

I think Happ and Certronix have a LCD drop in with all the right stuff but last time I looked it was about $500 which is more than I wanted to invest in an old machine.

Are you saying that the factory installed monitors are very specific to that game and can't be swapped with just any monitor. I'm not a trained tech on this stuff , so some of the language is foreign to me.....Thanks for the response

That's the jist of it.

Very tonic monitors in particular the 1401 are not standard.
