if I power off the slot, then put a dollar in it seems to hesitate on taking it but will, then it will not take any more.  If I put the dollar in corner first you hear the moter but when you put it in straight nothing, motor does not spin.  I cleaned heads with water, then look clear, but still no luck.  It has been working well until today.

Are the red LED lites on?
Is there condensation of any type under  the clear plastic
that covers the eye receiving optics?
Sounds like your optic eye that triggers the motor may be not "seeing" the inserted bill.
If you have small tools, remove the cover and clean the bottom of it
with a lint-free towel like they use for LCD TV screens.
Remember to re-install the Clear plastic cover or your bills will jam up.

Also, go to the JCM website on the right hand side of the NLG Home page.
I'm sure you'll find more information there on your BV model.
Also, do a search typing in DBV145 in the search dialog box.
There will be tons of threads dealing with that DBV.

I'm surprised it takes it at all with power off.  rotflmao

I guess I should proof read better.  Good one poppo.  Cry Laughing  Well I thought the cleaning was the issue.  I check the DBV and the one sensor was not clear.  Well no the problem is back.  Before I tear it all apart I have attached a few photos of the dbv.   It looks like where the bill goes in there are 3 sensors, but as you can see in the one picture there are only two red lights on.  The left and right one.    Also there is a longer light that comes on in the middle when powered on.
