Sound Sims.
It's fun to see what works in other games. The 0042 can get a little old at times.
I tried a Mummy 0018 in the DOUBLE DIAMOND STRIKE I acquired from Jason. Did I mention it is very Minty. Thanks Jason.
The Mummy didn't work & I had to use the 0042.

Can anyone tell us why some out of character sound Sims works with some games but not others?
I know it has something with the SB chip and/or the SG chip. But What?
Some of us use SG 00363, Sg00598, etc.

Is there a way to trick the machine so they will work?

Mummy will work with DSV00042, Crystal Sevens DSV00038, and of course it's own DSV00019.
Crystal Sevens will work with Mummy SIMM, and DSV00042, and of course it's own SIMM.
Double Diamond Deluxe works with DSV00042, Mummy SIMM, Munsters SIMM, and Wild Thing SIMM.
Haywire games appear to be finicky and only work with the DSV00042.

I am still trying to find out if a DSV00026 will work in a Double Diamond Deluxe...anybody know?

I believe the 0042 took the place of the 0026.
The 0026 is an earlier version.
I don't know what the difference is.

26 is a 8 meg simm  42 is 16 meg   I have never had a 26 to work in any machine that had a SS chip installed. Well I did once, installed a 26 in a machine with a SS chip and it worked, for some reason I removed it and when I reinstalled it back in that machine it would never work again, even though it's a good simm and now in a different machine (Wild Cherrys I think.) In a nut shell I have 4 DSV00026 simms and all of them are in  machines that don't have a SS chip

DSV00026 in what appears to be a Triple Diamond Deluxe.  Not sure if it's a Vision or standard S2000 though.

Jason  If you already know igtman/johnnie G/Ruden/ Mr. Sparkels (and most likely more names ) has a DSV00026 in a Double Diamond Deluxe, why are you asking if it will work ??????

One thing about Ruden, he's pretty much a ass but I never heard of him being a liar. If he posted a video saying he has a DSV00026 in a Double/Triple Diamond Deluxe you can bet your last dollar that is what he has/had.

So Buzz, by the look of the strips, all I know is that it's a DSV00026 with what appears to be a Triple Diamond Deluxe.  Can one assume that if it works in a TDD, that it would work in a DDD? 

If so, got one that you want to sell?

The DSV 42 (A Vision Sound SIMM) works just fine in my S2000.

Ok.  The reason I asked, is that I don't want Buzz and I to waste time, packaging, and postage if it is not compatible with an S2000 and only works with a Vision.  I'm sort of turning into a SIMM collector though.  Even though the sound might blow in comparison to other SIMM's, it's different.  Cheesy

Hey Buzz...got the SIMM today works great!  Lotta different sounds.  Some are good, some are ok.  Worked in my Crystal Sevens.  I'll throw my Double Diamond Deluxe in...I'm sure it will be fine since Multimedia I/O shows a dedicated nudge sound like the video above.  I'll shoot you a PM regarding where to send the $.
