My machine is running fine after finding the problem, it was the handle solenoid..... Anyway, is it possible that a short can do some other damage that can cause the slot machine to play differently? Before the short put the slot machine down for seveal days, the game played vey good at 98%, and I had 15,000 credits built up.

Since it's been running again, all it does is take, take, take...... I can't build up any credits at all. Is this even remotely possible???

YES.... IT IS POSSIBLE!!!
Changed MPU board and it's playing great again!
ALSO, I have been having very slow reel spins......... That problem iss now corrected!!

Guess I'll lay in a supply of MPU's....

Shorts anywhere in a machine - wreaks havoc that's for sure!!!!
I had one board explode a chip last week because I plugged a bonus reel harness incorrectly!

Most of these older 502/504 MPU boards seem to be the main cause of many problems on S2000's.
They are suspectively ( is this a word? lol ) at the end of their service lives?  Scratch Head 3

In my case, I'm sure that plugging in my harness in wrongfully - stuck the final dagger into my MPU's life.  Tongue Out

When I power up my S2000, all i hear is clicking and the lights on the CPU are all blinking, the clicking is coming from the power supply behind the reels, can anyone help me?????

I will not say for sure this is your problem but my game acted the same & it was the power supply.
If you have another swap & see if that takes care of it.
