Till you get the IO card thing worked out you may not be able to get into the menus. Key 31 should be fine. Key 45 is more for 1270 boards and reel touch games or newer

Yes Cowboy,
I set it for a 6-6-3 VFD display and that's working fine...no problems there.
Thanks for your help!  yes

I'm pretty darn sure it's just a harness issue at the moment.
BlueRidgeSlots pointed that out to me this morning but
his photos ( while excellent pictures too!!!) didn't exactly show where it goes to.
I must thank "Dad" for his help on this as he offered to send me a harness.
I told him to hang onto to it as I will try to make my own with the junk I have laying around.
I will make a brand new one in the morning.

Seems like every LED light and button lights are working but
the machine is confused by my garbage harness I picked out of my junk box...lol
I am checking schematics as we speak.

Version chip...uh...lemme check I'll be right back

okay,
According to Blueridge's photo of the back of the BetLine board, the black Molex comes out of it and runs down to the belly-side I/O card.
The only thing I can see in that photo is the numbers on the harness itself: 6004000

Can anyone email me or post up a hand-drawn pinout of the wires that goes from the black Molex out to the I/O card?
I want to make a harness with the right pin locations.
Much appreciated!  yes

That would be great zarobhr!  Clap
Thanks a lot buddy!  Hail applause

I posted a couple of pictures below here to show people which pin is number #1 and so on.
The 1st picture is the 14-pin white Molex for the belly-side door I/O.
The 2nd photo is the black 12-pin Molex that comes out of the back of the BetLine board.
Disregard the wires I already have in these pictures - I was only using them as examples...
Click on any photo enlarge if needed!...>>>

I want to thank zarobhr for the pinouts for this harness that goes between the Bet Line board down to the belly-side I/O card.
I double-checked the harness and my wiring is pinned out exactly as how he laid it out to me.  Sherlock Smiley
However, after connecting the harness - I am still getting the "Coin-In Jam" error .... bawling

While the machine is powered up, two amber led lights are "ON" on the belly-side I/O
while the hopper-side I/O card only has a single amber LED lit up.
I am also getting a continuous green ( DS1) LED light on the back of the Bet Line board.

Are you guys getting the same lights I am... lit up?  Scratch Head 3

idea light bulb I suspected that there might be something wrong with the Line Bet display board that is located behind the reel glass.
What this board does is display to the player,  how many bets each line is multiplied by.  propeller
It wasn't lighting up any numbers  Scratch Head I assumed it should it least be showing "zeros" for
the Bet per line because I've never installed this game before...Hmm...

So I removed it from the reel glass and pulled out the new harness I made for it.

Voila! Under the microscope  Sherlock Smiley you can clearly see a
burned-out trace located near the C2 IC component.  bawling hissy fit
Look at the smoke that escaped at one time from under the silver colored (22 VFC 1R2) can!  Burning Resistor

I was told that the Line Bet board may have been shorted and caused a surface mount (SMF) fuse to blow.
I'm not quite certain what is exactly burned out on the Line Bet circuit board but
because of the smoke stains on the side of the SMT aluminum electrolytic capacitor (Panasonic 22 VFC 1R2) -
Perhaps the cap blew out from underneath the base?

Anyways, I'm trying to figure out what the "22" stands for on the alum cap printing. 22uf?  Scratch Head
Would the "V" in front of the "FC" mean 35volts?
Please excuse me for not understanding how they label these IC components... face in palm
Here's a link to a sheet from Mouser about these caps.
I'm wondering which one I should get voltage-wise...>>>

http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/components/pdf/pic_fc_series.pdf

Also, the trace going to the little white block ( 1A 125v LF 460 ) at location F1 is slightly bloated
and crystallized the green circuit board paint knocking it clear off the trace!
I'm only guessing at this point that the location label (F1) means that a "fuse" IC component (numbers above) is soldered there?
Continuing, I'm guessing this label "1A" means 1 amp the 125v is obvious but the "LF 460" is the "fuse" name?
It's all black on the side where the trace from the cap enters it.
I unsolder-ed both components and found lots a black char on these areas.

ADD>> I found it! I was mistakenly seeing an "IE" when it was really "LF"... Duh!
Here's a link to the page on these SMF surface mount fuses made by...you guessed it...
the "Littel Fuse" fuse company...! bust gut laughing >>>

http://www.littelfuse.com/data/en/Data_Sheets/Littelfuse_Fuse_460_PicoSMF.pdf

My immediate goal is to try and purchase these IC components, install them, and
try to see if the board will function later on.  propeller

Not yet, it's sitting and awaiting on UPS for a new Line Bet board.
Doesn't seem to work without it?
I'm checking the mail and expecting the board to
be in by Friday evening.

I'm having a blast playing with all the different denomination possibilities!  stir the pot / get cooking  yummy
I was cleaning up my toolbox and putting my tools away.
It's pretty late at night then I hear this lady's voice that scared the living shut out of me!
It was the Cleopatra "attract" mode playing...

The attract mode can be a very daunting feature. I'm building a new home and was working into the wee hours of the am. earlier i ran out of credits on the mummy  . I was closing up the house to go home and all the lights were of but the slot machines  as i was shutting the power of machines and walked by the mummy it went off There is nothing like a growling mummy at 3 am to raise the hair on your skin   bust gut laughing bust gut laughing bust gut laughing bust gut laughing
