Staz,

This is why most people at home disable this switch and bypass it by tying the wires together.  propeller

Yes, those are the wires for the Bill Door Switch, just make sure they are tied together well and that no wire is exposed that can short to anything. Best to use a crimp connector or wire nut and cover with electrical tape.

You may want to check and reseat all top box connections, especially to the reel driver board...

closure M means you have closed the main door.

I posted a long time ago, and recently a couple of times that bypassing that switch is not a good idea and will not affect trouble shooting if you make sure the switch is working when you close the BV door.

IGT coded the SG (Game Chips) so when the BV door opens it disables the machine, BV and shows the tilt "DOOR OPEN B" and when closed (no other issues) machine and BV are enabled.

This is what the machine is expecting concerning that switch and the cash can
home user
You open main door (tilt shows on VFD) or belly door (tilt may show on VFD if belly door switch installed -same as main door open)
You open BV door (switch opens) machine disables game play, BV and displays BV door tilt
remove cash can
do what ever you wanted to do with the cash can
install cash can
close BV door (switch closes)
you close main or belly door
machine enables game and BV

I have noticed when I bypassed mine shortly before I made the first post saying not to bypass the switch the machine took way longer to enable the BV.

Staz  Try opening and closing the main door latch 6 or 7 times. You don't have to swing the door open, just lift the latch and then close it.  Might not help but worth a try.

Zip tie it up to the reel cage so it doesn't come off again!

okay here we go again Silly Me! i turned my machine on and the same thing happened...... hissy fit i snapped lol...... Duh! i took appart the top again......i was paying all my attention to the molex connector which seemed fine and secure so im jiggleing the wires in the back as i have the machine turned on...... i come across this other black little box with  wires wrapped around it  leaning against the back of topbox.... i move it away from the metal panel in the back of the top box while the wheel is shaking and BOOM..... it starts moving like its suppose to......whats the use of this? its something to do with static something........ its like black and it just was dangleing with wires wrapped on it...... WHY WOULD IT CAUSE A REEL TILT 5 EVERY TIME IT TOUCHED THE BACK OF THE TOPBOX????????? i straped it away from the back panel and now machine working fine again......

Post a picture Staz, sounds like an external power supply for something. Maybe it doesn't even need to be there and it hanging from the wires is pulling on something else

That's suppose to be there, it's a choke. Should be plastic coated though and touching the metal case of the game shouldn't hurt anything. You've still got a bad connection:(

That black part is a ferrite core.
The wires being wrapped in and around it creates a noise filter,
There is also one on the cabinet I/O to back lit reel light controller harness (it is near the cabinet I/O)

I am thinking you have a loose connection, broken wire, exposed wire (damaged insulation) or the like going on you moving it around fixed the issue.
I would investigate why it fails in the original position but works where it is now.
