I stand corrected!!! I was confused...maybe it was the wine intake? wine
I just read it wrong...I didn't see the word "EXCEPT," and I was assuming this was for the TD feature when it's simply an explanation for the DD feature of the machine.

Sound: If the wires are not frayed and the connection to the board looks good, it probably is either be a bad board or the speaker. Both are pretty cheap and easy to replace. Someone else on the board should be able to tell you how to test the board. The coin tray speaker is routinely broken due to the molex connector design. Check that and if its broken, you have a few choices: 1. Salvage the old connector and try to make it work. 2. Wire the speaker up direct with enough wire so the coin tray can still be removed and set on the floor below the machine (in case you need to). 3. Get a new molex connector and try not to break it again. I have 3 S-2000's and all 3 were broken. Its just a part that likes to break with people slamming those coin trays in.

Thank you...again.
Can someone let me know where the sound board is and how to check for whether it's the sound board or speaker. I'm assuming the left speaker is okay though, since it's got hiss coming from it. I'm off to work but hope to come back tonight and do some troubleshooting on this.

Not exactly true... If you get a cherry of a cherry and a DD ; then you are paid accordingly and additionally get the DTD bonus. Bill

on any top dollar you do not get any additional credits if the bonus symbol lands on the 3rd line
Gotta correct Staz as he's correcting me with inaccurate info.... Staz; you have a Top Dollar; you should know this.... Here's a link from Youtube of a Double Top Dollar winner that also has a cherry on the Payline... http://www.youtube.com/v/w7iOcLWiIJ4&rel=0 It's a $5 machine and the offer is $250, $100, $25 , $50 ... total of $425 Times 2 , Times 2.... for a total of $1700 ( nice hit BTW!!!). $17000 divided by $5 is 340 credits.... Staz; please note that the blue vacuum display shows the payout as 342 credits ( you get 2 credits for a Cherry)....... I rest my case. Bill

sound board is in the right side of the top box....... first check all the connections then unplug all the conectors from the sound board and replug them in....... might be oxidation in the plugs.....

this is what a amp board looks like......

That was much easier than I thought it would be...
I didn't see any obvious issues other than a large green wire just laying there, that looks like it should be screwed into something! I'm tired now but tomorrow I'll snap a picture and I'll also switch the speaker plugs and see what happens. I'm having fun with this machine!

CVSlots (a member here) has one for $18 shipped on ebay right now.

Pretty sure that is what you need and your only out $18 bucks if it doesnt fix your issue--plus you gain the knowledge of replacing it. Sounds like a deal to me!
