the 2 you have marked netplex, they daisy chain at the motherboard look in the middle about 3-4 inches down, they control the dazzle light board that go with the 4th reel (bonus reel)

Thanks for the info Blue!
Would you have a dazzling display and a small bonus reel?
I see a jumper on the connector behind the 3rd reel.
Looks like an option for maybe a 4th large reel?

No, that jumper is bypassing the #4 reel as that harness is a 5 reel harness, 123 and 5 are used

Okay,
Got some glass, strips, SB100231 chip combines with SG363's,
back lit reels w/ bonus reel,  and tray for the Big Times Pay.

I daisy-chained the dazzle board harnesses back to the motherboard
and plugged in the reel harness to the motherboard.

I have a 14-pin and a 10-pin connector coming off the right side of the reel harness behind the tray.
I see that the 14-pin fits into the reel driver board but where does the 10-pin connector go?  rotflmao

I don't see a place for it on my reel controller board.
I'm suspecting that I have the wrong board as there's no 10-pin header on it.
Do I have the wrong back lit controller board?  Help

Here's a picture of the two connectors coming out of the back of the reels on the right side.
One's a 14-pin ( I think I know where that goes) while the other is a 10-pin connector (For a netplex??)

What does a Reel controller board # 76926800 look like?  Huh? Scratch Head 3
I'd appreciat some info on that and maybe where to get one?  high five
Mine's a 76924100... bawling

This photo below is looking towards the right behind that bloody hot bulb!  Duh! rotflmao
I've been trying (Although not too hard! lol) to put this kit together for over a year!  bust gut laughing>>>

I wonder if this is it?
I noticed this on ebay a few minutes ago?
I think it's one of those fancy ones for LEDs though...?
The number on it is: 76936300
Same as the one r273 posted of the more expensive one.
I'd prefer the incandescent reel driver light board...>>>

wrong one I think.
This one has the 6-pin, 14-pin, 8-pin connectors on top.
It doesn't have the double 10 & 12 pin header connectors...>>>

Okay...I got a reel controller board from RAZ410!!!  Thanks man!!! Hail
Now, this behind-the-reels power supply made a "pop" noise a few days ago.
Not sure though...I have a non-directional hard-of-hearing physical  (mostly mental) disability... arrow
I do NOT  no like to hear a little sound like that... rotflmao
By the way, the "pop" sound occurred after I had incorrectly plugged in the 3reel+bonus reel
reel connector harness into a regular run-of-the-mill reel controller board.
The board "looks" okay but it's unverified whether it's works or not - I haven't tried to re-install the regular 3R kit back in.

Ever since then, my panel buttons (except for the MAX bet button) have been out of service.  bawling
Without them working, I'm not allowed into the menus. nada
Of course the game isn't working...still showing a ridiculously stubborn "Coin Jam" error...

I did this, did that...you know...fiddling around Clear chipping ( via a M27C4002 IVC00097 program) and Key chipping (utilizing a KEY00031).
Key chipping is especially nauseous  vomit because the first thing that pops up on the VFD is the chance
to get into the "keychip" menu and it's really frustrating when the panel buttons are inoperable.  banghead

I do have a set of I/O cards coming in soon but I'd really hate to install them and maybe blow them out again.
I will check out the door harness to see if there's a short somewhere... Sherlock Smiley

Is there a fuse perhaps inside this behind-the-reels PS?

Mark I have never had to repair a power supply on a S 2000 but this thread is interresting. ( 2nd page )

I think I would take a look at the door IO board. Popping noise and blown cap. kind of go together.

Very cool thread  Cool Thumbs-Up Buzz! Thanks!
I remember reading this a while back before I got my hands on an S2000.
It didn't really stick in my brain because I didn't have one to look at the time.

According to the article, Randy Fromm suggested to do one main thing to get the behind-the-reels PS going again.
"Replace capacitor C50. 100 microfarad, 25 volts."
Here's his excellent video link>>>
http://slot-tech.com/interesting_stuff/igt/igt%20power%20supply%20repair%20video/igt%20power%20supply%20repair.wmv
First,  I must test it according to idlywild's test instructions.

I will take it out this evening and put it under the microscope and see what I come up with... stir the pot / get cooking
Again, thanks for the lead...!! Hail

Mark  If ONE button works I would think the power supply is doing it's job.  Now this is only a guess on my part but if you have the second set of buttons on a machine, you have two door IO boards. That tells me the IO's have something to do with the buttons. ( Foster is more than welcome to jump in here and straighten me out ) You have one out of five working.

These damn coin errors are becoming a real pain.  I had a S 2000 that took dollar tokens and worked good ( a fellow wanted it that way, but ended up buying a quarter machine )  New customer wanted it but as a quarter machine. ( people are hard to please )  Now all I did was replace the coin head, coin comparator, comparator bracket with coin optics and the hopper. All I could get after that was coin errors, I must have replaced every part except the coin head  three or four times, nothing would clear the error. After 4 or 5 hours I went to bed, next day after about five minutes it started working.  I wish I could tell you why but I don't know.  I have come to the conclusion that ALL slot machines are Female and you never know what they are going to do.

Just recently I pinched the 13V red wire that is part of the player buttons harness and caused it to short temporarily to ground and it created the coin in jam.
I seriously thought I killed the supply or the door i/o but both survived.

I would make sure the yellow wires for the buttons is not pinched or otherwise shorting to ground.
check to be sure you have 13V at the buttons red wire going to lamp and the black wire common terminal of switch.
if you do not have it there the I/O board(s) may not have 13V getting to them.
