Is there a place that will tell me how to change out my game/reel chips on a S2000 machine?  Not even sure where they are located.

Where's that board located?  Does it lift out like the S+ one?

See the vertical silver metal handle on the left wall?
Looks like pretty colored LED light bulbs underneath it?
Pull on it.

OK,  I just got in my S+ SS reel and Base chip for haywire (Money Storm).  Am I correct that I just replace the base chip in my S2000 with the new one and plug the reel chip in and turn the machine on and it will be ready to go?  I think the reel chip is a few pins short but I may be wrong.

You may have to do a clear and would bet money you will have to do a Key set up.  Note in Pic. where the SS chip needs to be installed.

You will not need to do a clear or key unless you want to change key menu settings, or change accounting denom (clear requireed to change accounting denom)
the SS ROM must be placed towards the un-notched end of the socket so that Pins 1,2 and 31,32 are empty (notched end of socket)

K+ to everyone who has posted great information in this thread.  I'm halfway tempted to type up a summary of all the info for a sticky or a FAQ page -- do you guys think that'd be useful for folks in the future?

Well, here's my post.  I'd appreciate it if someone who has done this before could look over the post and let me know if I missed anything or if there's anything that needs to be corrected.  (I assumed that Key 17 was the correct keychip to use, for example.)  If anything needs to be fixed, please let me know so I can edit the post.

David (or someone else), can you sticky that post?  Thanks!   yes
