Title: Games of Nevada Poker Model GVP-7A-0166
Post by: ucanwin on November 02, 2011, 08:39:42 AM
Hi,
I was recently given a nonworking Games of Nevada Model GVP-7A-0166 Poker machine, manufactured 7/85. The battery is missing, and I was wondering what type of battery (nicad or Lithium) goes in this machine, also, if it is a 3.6V battery. Anybody know? Assuming, that I replace the battery, is there a ram clear chip required it get it going? What would be the procedure, and where can I find an operating manual for this machine? Any information would be greatly appreciated. This is my first contact with a Games of Nevada machine, so I'm kind of in the dark as to how to get it up and running.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry

Hi Triston,
I'm not quite sure, if you are asking the purpose of a battery being necessary for this machine or if you mean something else. If you are asking why do you need a battery......I believe it's purpose is to retain memory.
For your information.....I have been told that this machine needs a Nicad battery. But I still haven't found out the correct voltage. I'm guessing, that it would be 3.6 volts like most other machines. Information on this machine just doesn't seem to be available, or nobody wants to share it.
Meanwhile.............the machine makes a great boat anchor.
