Title: S2000 Super Times Pay ***FIXED!!***
Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 14, 2013, 01:27:13 PM
Hi!
Got a new game kit in for my S2000 machine to fool around with!
It's a 2x3x4x5x Super Times Pay.
It came with an SB101091 chip.
I was wondering if it's a 45 or 90 credit game?
Also, what SG chip would be a good match for it?
My documentation sheets has very little info on this game.
Thanks!

9 line 90 credit game.  SG363 is what I would use.

It's a 90CM and I believe it had 341's (Not 100% positive).

Thanks guys!  :131-
Kudos+ to ya!  Karma storm! :3-
As soon as the side display comes in I'm gonna start putting it together!.
First I gotta pull out my 5-reeler kit tho! haha

There is a 180 credit chip as well, but it may be harder to find, but ours came out of the casino as 180 (but of course, no software). I'm putting one together now, but will change to the 45 credit chip, as that's all I could find for it.

Yes, they made at least 3 sets of graphics for this game. We have 2 versions of Super2x3x4x5x Times right now in 9" tops. One is kinda vintage looking (to me anyway, bolder, chunkier fonts and graphics), and one in the same style as Double Times Pay.

okay! The side reel display board came in yesterday and I threw in the game.
I was able to find a pair of some old SG000363's and get the gane up and running!  :71-

I used a KEY0045 to get in to set the coin and game denominations but for some reason, the display only gave me the 6-6-3 display option for the lower reel glass display and not this particular side reel glass display?

Kinda wondering what I'm missing here... lol

Maybe the game requires the SG000598's?

The side reel glass display is auto-configured.  I've never had to do anything to get the game to detect it.  There's a harness that comes out of the 10 button harness that plugs into the side display, then there's an additional I/O board that connects to the display as well, do you have both connected?  You do have a 10 button player panel right?

Here's a pic. The I/O is an 802. - As Rick stated, that display should just work, no menu setting for it.

Bunker, what did you use to extend the cable from one side of the door to the other when you converted from long to short reel glass?

Ok...this won't be easy...I'm using a "dumbphone"...lol @rick...I'm using a 10-button deck. All I swapped was the reel driver board to a 3-reeler from a 5-reeler board. @cowboy...I had a long glass in there. The last game was a 5-reeler DD Pennies 45CR game and used the 9-line reel glass display. @Harvs...I got a two 802 I/O boards on the door panel to run the 10-button deck.Set up of harnessing appears same as your photograph...thanks! I'm going to try and upload a short video clip to show you guys what's going on. Gimmie a sec...thanksThe picture of what im getting on the display unfortunately uploaded sideways...ugh!

Your side display IS a 663, if that's the option on the game then you're good there. Looks like you have some weird communication error goingon. Never saw one do that before :103-

Yeah...all full of ones and zeros...I'm going to try swapping a different I/o board. Update...that didn't do anything. ...I wonder if it's because I'm running SG000363's?

I'm looking now through a pile of notes. I know exactly what it's doing.., the display will change depending on what bet/line you press.. 01010101,02020202, etc.

Run an auto config 4.3 (?) in the meantime. It's not the I/O

Damn I have a lot of notes.. Most look like they were written by a infant child.., I'll let you know shortly

You need to run 598s with this display to make it work correctly. Just encountered it this weekend.  :89-

And here I was embarrassed to ask you guys, as I figured it was something stupid I was doing, as I had 363s in and couldn't figure out what the heck was going on! Changed I/O cards, forced the Auto Config, everything that "seemed" logical. The list I had showed the SB to be compatible with 363s, but that is OBVIOUSLY not the case.

Yes, it works. I wasted time trying to figure it out before Darrell reminded me we had another game with the same display already up. I think he did it on purpose to see if I would figure it out... :72-

And Bunker - That's a super (ha, no pun intended) fun game! Enhanced sound or not!

Still haven't found the note... That must be what I changed to fix it (change to 598 SG's). I think it had 341's in it to start. Never even seen those before.

Here's before and after the fix on that game. (Same prob)

                                                           ***Update***

I installed a pair of SG000598's and went into the KEYCHIP OPTIONS to set the coin & game denoms.
I also set the machine as an "UPRIGHT" and voila! The bet line reel glass display works!  :72-
KUDOS+ to all those who helped! :3- :244-

You know...it's Buzz's fault!!! :37-
He tells everyone to just to stick in 363's!!!  :97-

But it is so much easier to just grab a pair of 363s versus having to go look it up hunt around for the chips. We just need to say "Use 363s in all standard display 3 reel games"....I was really surprised when I searched to find nothing on the problem Saturday, but I was unsure how people would have described the problem. Bunker, of course, hit it right on the head with 10101010101010!!! :96-
