Title: The real Junkman1
Post by: 4 Deuces on October 26, 2013, 07:43:50 PM
Okay, at the risk of getting egged and tomato'd, I just thought I'd mention that me and another forum member met Steve (Junkman1) today.  Turns out he's a pretty cool guy with some really good stuff.

He may have entered the forum like a bull in a china shop and I'm not asking anyone to "like" him, forgive him or even tolerate him (got to love that freedom).  I'm just sticking my neck out to say that he's okay by me.  There's a reason casinos keep some folks at the back of the building rather than the front.  Ha ha!

I don't know if he will offer to sell stuff here again.  He is a wholesaler, not retailer and he will consider serious bulk offers.  There are others who have contacted him and I suspect they won't be disappointed.

If you want superior customer service, then you'll have to contact Buzz!   :96-  I think the rest of us are allowed to have our bad days.

Anyway, Steve, if you're reading this, it was nice to meet you and I look forward to doing business with you.

I hope I haven't offended anyone as I'm not trying to take sides in a debate that I have no interest in.  Just offering my approval for what it's worth (I know ... absolutely nothing).

:Dave :88-

I was wrong.  Buzz is right.  Steve is an opportunist, not a slot reseller.  He has no interest in starting a slot business or following through as a slot reseller.  He just happened upon this stuff by being in the right place at the right time and wants to make a quick profit.  He told me he paid $80 for the entire stock.  Regardless of whether one interprets this motive or this person as "good" or "bad", it is what it is.

For me, as they say in the show, Shark Tank, "I'm out!"  I don't want any of his stuff.

You must have gotton out bid? :37-

And I paid 480.. And I don't think it's cool of someone to try and tell everyone something that was told to you in confidence.. If I knew nothing else.. I now know enough about you.
Not that it matters to me.. but you didn't know that.

Edited..
Your right.. Stop digging holes..

He has no idea what he is selling on ebay.  From the photos a lot of his shit is incomplete, and many of the titles are erroneous selling topper inserts as conversion kits for $50 and $25 shipping.

Not only that ...he puts this statement in the auction

(Please contact manufacture or slot supplier with any questions)

 Good luck with that :72-

He needs to show EXACTLY how many reel strips are included in each kit.
What good is a 5 reel kit that has only 1 or 2 strips?

Title: Re: The real Junkman1
Post by: idesign on November 02, 2013, 10:58:44 AM
Well, according to the description, if you don't see it then it aint included.  So buyer beware of the so called conversion kits.

how about 5 right strips not just 2 of 1st reel 3 of 3rd reel   , there will be some good kits by dumb luck but most buyers will get it up their a** from junky imo

People..

1... I don't know what they are.. It says that in the ad..

2. you are buying as parts.. bid what you see .. nothing more.. says that too.

3. if you only see 2 strips .. bid it like it's 2 strips.. not 5.. Simple.

4. Some kits will have more than is required too.. You gonna complain about that?

5. yes.. no warranty.. no returns.. as is..No anything.. buy at your own risk..

6. I know you folks would spend countless hours going through these and verifying and testing each kit in  order to get maximum profits.. But As I said before, I will take the short money.. rather that trying to figure it all out.. for a added $500 maybe.. it would cost me more to make that happen. Not very good business, From where I am standing.

7. If you have a question on a kit.. and I can get the answer .. I will. So far.. not even 1 question from all the ads.. must be ok by the bidders..

8.  First round.. all of it goes to bid.. second round.. whats left gets a HIGH buy it now w/ best offer for 2 months( or so ).. 3rd.. they get pulled and will sent to public auction..
They ALL start at the same price.. They all will have the same BIN later.. I don't care what is in the kit..

8. As to our ebay.. It's true .. there are ads that we have listed that we have no idea what it is, or if it is complete, if it works.  etc.. SO?  Does that mean there is no value to it? No.. I prove that every day. As many of you are gamblers I suppose, what is wrong with gambling on a part that cost $1000 and I will sell for $50? I do it everyday.. Also, Let me note.. That I'd estimate 75% of my customers are RESELLERS.. Not end users.. So they make money on me too.. And I am fine with that.

Anyways.. I know this type of selling may come to a shock to a lot of people. But it's all Junk to me. Pay x for this Junk.. Sell Junk at this price. Try and make a buck. And before you think or say I am a scammer etc.. I am not. I am honest with it.. tell what I know about it. and will accept a fair price for it..

Am I AM stubborn ass that don't take shit very well.. but I am honest and straightforward.. No matter what some of these people here "think" .. because none of the "know"..
Maybe you can see it from my standpoint.. maybe not. Like me or not.. like it or not.. But maybe you can understand the business end of this..

BTW.. we have a pretty large pile of software and chips.. some more pieces.. that we will get loaded.. Monday, maybe .. all one money..

As usual ... Here I am trying to defend myself again.. I need to really stop coming here..

:310- this has been entertainment for me. Can't wait to see the can of worms opened up as soon as these kits get into the buyers hands.

Hopefully the buyers can read and see the pictures.. Because Ebay can.. lol.

It's always fun for me.. No matter what. If It wasn't .. I'd do something else..And will.. when I get bored with it..( it will happen )

If you can't tell.. I love a good argument.. especially when I am right... lol

This is a false statement as you know.  Would be nice to see a spread of the strips as you politely responded and said you would "back track" and do this.  It's only to your own benefit as many may bid more enthusiastically, including me, knowing the kit is complete or not.

lets see how many retract their bids on ebay on some of those complete kit;s   :208-

Yea,, we started to do that.. but deceided to say screw it.. as It would cost me 200 to do.. The reel strip count is on the spread sheet.. and if you want, just ask.. I will tell you how many in that kit.. no problem..
Are you saying the strip count is the only thing left.. then it would be a complete kit?
Are the reel strips really that important?

I could add a count in the description.. pretty easy..??/

Title: Re: The real Junkman1

Correct...the strips are the most critical, at least to me as your not going to find them elsewhere.  Missing plaques and software reduces the value of the kit but can be worked around and found elsewhere.  There needs to be the correct number of strips and the correct ones for that particular kit otherwise you pretty much have nothing.

Ok - then . I am adding a reel strip count to the ads that have them.. should be complete in about 30 mins..

UPDATED... Some where in the ad it now has a reel strip count. Went and spot checked about 5.. Look mint condition and belong to that box.. Thanks.

Good luck.

just because there 5 don't mean they are right 5 for that kit  might be  missing 1 reel and have 2 of  others  , everything looks new to some sellers

They are the right 5..

You have a negative comment for everything..

What are you worried about it for.. you have 1000's of each of these, right?

Lets' have a look at your Ebay..

Steve,  I think what they meant were the correct 5 reel strips for a pariticular game.  On the bottom of the strips there are numbers.  I think from my mem. 3-were same and 2-diff on hee-haw for example.  If the tech removed the kit and pakaged in the boxes you have in front of the machine--AND you did not mix any from the others kits you have it should be ok--should be.  The hee haw topper inserts goes with those kits-You have three kits and three inserts but have them listed seperate.  The inserts should have been with the kits--Would have been a better buy and prob. more $ for you as money talks.   Just a opinion and advice- Been messing with all this for over 15 years now.  No punches thrown here.  No,  I am not bidding on your kits.  Yes- I think you have some things there for folks as long as it is "proper".  As a business tactic why list for 7-days?.  The 3-day on most would have sufficed.  Again just a few thoughts.  There will be happy and hopefully not sad buyers on these as you clearly stated what is in the box, etc.  Thanks-- Nobody

Thanks man I understand..
But I'm past where I wanted to be..

It is what it is.... now.. I get what I get.. And the buyer get what they get..
But I think they will be happy..

We will double check the kits on the way out the door.

I have a couple of boxes of software and chips too... will try and add any missing ones to the kits.. Some surely got mixed up..Without removing anything.

I see Junkman1 got some good feedback on eBay for some of the slot kits he was selling, but I also see a negative.  Looks like the negative feedback was something missing and Junkman1 has made it very clear to us that if it's not in the pic, it's not included.

Anyone on NLG get any of the stuff from Junkman1 on eBay and want to comment on how it was packed, shipped, condition, etc??  I didn't win anything because I was officially banned but I am curious how it went for others :)

There's a lot of the buyers here.. a couple bought a ton of them.

Yea, That negative .. the guy was like where is the software? lol.. funny thing is I found it in the big box of software to be listed when I get a chance.. I was going to give it to him.. he was was just too fast on the trigger.. oh well..lol.. As I said.. when you ship out 30 items a day, you won't be able to satisfy everyone..

No one was ever banned from ebay..( well That one guy is now..lol )

Lots of positive feedback posted.
