Hi all,
I have a 27K7502 monitor that is dark only on the left side.
I've done a cap-kit, and even swapped the flyback with a spare with no change.
Is there something else I should be looking for?
If I turn up the screen control the text is barely visible under the black, but it's there...

Thanks in advance, this thing is killing me!
Dan

Just grasping at straws but have you tried a different input signal, perhaps its not the monitor.

Certainly worth a shot, I'll have to see what other med res games I have around the shop, I hadn't considered the source being an issue  Duh!

**EDIT**
Took a shortcut and removed the signal cable, same dark band with no signal applied, definitely the monitor.

Any other thoughts?

I see reference to this exact problem in some of the Randy Fromm flowcharts, all referencing specific caps as being the culprit but I don't have a flowchart for the k7500 to see what it says on the subject...

You need to re-check the looped black wire that goes through the flyback ferrite core. You looped it the wrong way. That's all what you need to do.
