Well, I'm trying to add backlit reels to one of my S2000 machine and connected the board, reels, wiring harness, power and I/O harnesses. I get reel spin but no bulb activation at all. I swapped out a controller board, I/O board and reels with a known working machine and know the reels do activate in the other machine. the reels from the working machine do not work in the conversion one either. Any suggestions or tips on where to focus? Thanks!

Does the machine you are adding the backlit parts to have the power connector coming off of the power supply harness which is a 6 pin molex connector that only utilizes 4 wires in the connector? This connector will plug into the 6 pin connecor on the backlit controller. Also make sure the game you are using in the non-backlit machine that you are converting supports backlit not all games do.

Well, I got the backlits working properly now. Thannx to Jim at Blueridge (again). He suggested checking the power source to the contoller board and sure enough, it was a loose 13v pin in the molex, it would just push out enough when I connected the plug. K+, Jim!!
