Title: Cherry Master Help
Post by: curtm73 on June 06, 2013, 08:20:38 PM
Hi folks,

I just purchased a used countertop Dyna Cherry Master machine for my rec room. It has an older bill acceptor that doesn't work. Is there a way to add credits to the machine without having to put money in? There was no paper work with this unit, so I need to rely on the internet for any and all help. I will post pictures of the machine later.

You should be able to run 2 wires from credit wires of the wiring harness, (may also be labeled as coin 1 or coin 2) on your wiring harness and drill a 1 1/8" hole on the side or rear of the machine to bring the wires back to and install a button with a micro switch and just add credits to the game by pressing that button. As far as your bill acceptor on the machine will it cycle at all? do you hear it running when you power up the machine, will it pull in a bill and send it back out? If you can, post a picture of the front of the game and then open up the hatch below the control panel and take a picture of the bill acceptor to and post it.

I will post some pictures tomorrow...The bill acceptor is on, but the money only goes in maybe 1/4 of the way. It makes a clicking sound.

I am not the most tech savvy person, so adding a couple wires may be out of my league (unless you just plug them in).

Again, I will post multiple pics of the inside of the machine tomorrow.

Well it may just be easier to pick up a working bill acceptor and replace the one you have, probably get one for 50.00 or less.

Pics of the bill acceptor. It powers on, but only takes a bill in a fraction of the way.

Here is a pic from the front where the game board is, and a pic from the back

Don't think this will help you but here are some installation instructions on your bill validator, for your library.

Pin 18 on the solder side and a ground will put credits on, pin 21 on the solder side and a ground will take off credits.
