what can i do never worked on any of theses.. anything I can do.. I can get into bios and boot but the both say no os found

sounds like the hard drive failed. one of the more common problems i have seen. i would try swapping the ide cable to the drive first just to be sure its not the cable but i only got that lucky once. if its the drive has failed the only option i know of is buy a drive that matches your security key or see if someone has one you can clone.

edit
i think it was just the xl models that were cd based but if the maxx was too you may be able to get away with cleaning the cd drive or replacing it.
