Does anyone do a multi game board that lets you:

1. Load your own roms (both horizontal and vertical) so you only have the games rou are interested in
2. Allow selection of Horizontal and Vertical games to both run on a horizontal monitor with the correct ratio on the vertical games (albeit squeezed onto the monitor), same way mame does?

1. No..have not seen a board that will allow loading your own...
2. I did this a while back with a MAME setup. I mounted a 21" LCD display on a turntable, simply rotate it for horizontal or vertical themes.
Just use a PS2 to contact adaptor to Emulate the joysticks/buttons...

I may be wrong, but I thought I read about a board that you could load your own games on.  Scratch that, the info is below and the roms look to be loaded on the hard drive already:

Product Information

One JAMMA ready arcade system containing 1069 amazing ready to play games. Choose from classic fighters like Street Fighter II EX, King of Fighters, and The Punisher to great classic shooters (Shoot em' ups) like 1945 Plus, R-Type, and Aero Fighters 3!  The game selection menu is extremely simple to understand and navigate.  To select a game, simply scroll through the list and press your button to select.  At anytime during the active game, the player can return back to main game selection menu by holding in the start button for 3 seconds!

The 1069-in-1 is a hard drive computer based system.  It can support up to 4 players via a remote 3/4P Interfacing card (which connects into another JAMMA cabinet so TWO cabinets are LINKED TOGETHER!).

# Features: Universal JAMMA Connector
# User Friendly Game Selection Screen
# P4 Motherboard using genuine Intel Processor and hard drive system!
# User Adjustable Game Options (Game Dip Switch Settings; Number of Lives, Difficulty, etc)
# Pre-Installed Multigame emulators software.
# Supports 1-4 Player Games (players 3 & 4 via linking - kit included)
# Supports two-channel audio (Stereo Sound)
# Supported Video Modes; CGA Standard (15kHz), PAL (15kHz), Medium (24kHz), and VGA (31kHz)
# Supports Upright Cabinets Only (will not flip screen for cocktails)
# Enable One Game (for a dedicated machine if desired) or All Games
# Enable/Disable Individual Game Categories From Showing
# Sorted Games Listing menu by game type
# Delete/Undelete Each Game
# Set Coin/Credit Ratio of All Games with One Setting
# Supports a Coin Counter
# Supports PS/2 or USB Trackball (With SE or KE Version Upgrade)
# Saves High Scores with Initials (With SE or KE Version Upgrade)

On Mame you don't need to rotate your screen you can do that in software.

For games like Pacman that you want to use in cocktail mode you need to start the game, use the TAB key, go to dipswitch settings, and change the mode from Upright to Coctail.
escape out of the settings and then quit the game. You then need to use the Windows Interface of mame, choose properties, choose the display tab, under the drop down called rotation you choose clockwise. When you start the game again it will now play head to head and auto-flip the screen.
