Title: Slant top monitor
Post by: Randy0777 on January 12, 2010, 05:55:27 AM
I picked up a slant top that did not have a game board. After picking up a board,I can not get the monitor in to adjustment. All of the wheels for adj do something as I try,but the best I can get is the picture below.
I just seen this post by PinballMike http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=4761.0   :103-
The 2nd picture is the best I can get with the whole image on the screen
I do not have another machine to swap things out to try. I was thinking monitor until I seen his post and now looking for suggestions  :88-

No idea if this is barking up the right or wrong tree, but is there some way to choose 50 or 60 hz in the settings or with a dipswitch or something?  I was just reading through an old IGT manual today, and it mentioned that on that IGT machine that if that setting was adjusted to the wrong frequency that it would cause a distorted and rolling picture.

Again, I know IGT and Bally are apples and oranges, but perhaps it's something to look into?  ...or I could be totally off base.

:103- I just checked in the manual ,and here is a quote ...The Game MakerĀ® provides selection of 50 or 60 Hertz video timing to match the frequency of the power source. Its worth a try  :89-

Drat.  Well, it was worth a shot.  Perhaps someone else here knows how to access that option?

Hey hey,

When you make the choices in the eeprom settings for jurisdiction, the choices are 1-International 60hz , and 4-International 50hz. There are other choices too.

I don't think thats it though.

For what it's worth, the US uses 60 hertz.  :71-
