Title: ChamII+ to Bally machine connection
Post by: Bobodude on January 12, 2010, 06:58:20 PM
I have a Bally EVO video slot with a ChamII+ logic board and display. It was originally connected to a progressive controller that had 8 machines on it. The hardware cable that connected it to the group controller consisted of two wires connected to pins 1 and 2 of J4. This two wire cable went down into the body of the slot and picked up 4 more wires making it a 6 wire cable that went out one of the bottom access holes into the casino floor. The cable is quite long say 4 ft with a 6 pin molex connector.  I assume this goes to the casino CON 2 group controller. I have reconfiged the ChamII+ to a SA and have been able to reprogram the ChamII+ to display a base value with rotating colors yellow, red, green using PSP.  The manual calls out for a Bally to ChamII+ cable # 311-205-1011 for the display/machine interface when in stand alone mode. That cable is no where to be found in the machine. I can build my own but for the life of me cannot find any 4 pin sockets that the machine end would plug into. The other end goes to J7 on the logic board. I also have the schematics and wiring diagrams but there is no mention of a progressive dsplay interface connector.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
