Greets all!  Happy Friday!! propeller

I've got a ChamII+ (v2.11) that has all of the JACK#.DO & the MESS.DO files loaded with messages to scroll.  Each is very simple:  A paragraph start, a travel motion, and a speed setting - then the text to scroll.  Everything uploads fine and can be pulled back into the PSP program from the controller (so I know they're saved on the CHAM), but nothing displays except for the progressive amount.

Could someone list the specific settings that need to be set in order to have a message scroll successfully?  I've got to be missing something really simple!

Thanks!!

Ohh - that may just be it!  I think I had it at 8...  Machine is in a customers house now - but I'll dupe his setup and give it a try!

That, and I'm 99% sure that the ChamII+ only displays whatever is in the jpot.do file -- you can program to your heart's content in the message file, and it'll never display.  (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.)  As such, you can get messages to display and scroll and whatnot, but it must be part of one big jpot.do file.

With all the help you get from this site, Karsten, do you think Brad might be willing to pony up a few $$ for a small donation to help keep the site going?  Smiley

Make sure the ChamII+ is set for SA and MFILE 0

The message you want to scroll goes inside the jpot.do
mess.do is blank.

Then you want to use F1 to send it,sometimes it takes many attempts hitting F1 but try this instead
here is the secret  yes Leave psp running with all the info
Restart the chamII+ just when the jackpot amount shows up on the display hit the F1 key
you should see it loading then the display should come back up with the progressive amount and scrolling message.
That of course depends on if all characters were put in correctly inside the jpot.do file.

You must also use jackpot token value of 8 to get it to work within the jpot.do file
which is Shift+ F1 then #8

Hope that helps good luck.
