The back lit reels do not work during normal play but do work under i/o test (4.10).  Also the back lit reel lights are usually dimly lite when power is on but on this machine they are not.  I have replaced the back lit board on the back wall, the cabinet i/o board, all wiring harnesses.

any suggestions????

thanks,
Bob

Sounds like the game does not support backlit reel.  Just because the I/O test works them does not guarantee that the game supports them.   What SB, SG and Version chips are in the machine?

Hi Bob....that it really odd because I know BTP should support back-lit reels.  Is it possible that there is something going on with the power supply or it's harness connection to the controller card?

I agree with Jim S. I just had a problem adding backlits to my Munsters game, turned out it was a bad pin on the molex that would push back out of the plug. Although on mine the I/O tests did not work either.

More I think about it...something is really funny here...if it works during the I/O tests...then power should not be the problem.  Maybe there are different SB versions?

Lets try doing a complete Ram clear and see what happens?
