I installed a cleo vision 5 reel game into a newer cabinet with the newer cpu and 7 segment display. The display is stating a 7 segment mismatch error. The old unit was a muti denomination using the button on the door. The new 7 segmant display is using the touch panel in the glass. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks

The display on the machine you moved the Vision to is likely a 6-6-3 display.  This is not compatible with the Vision software and you must use a 5-5-2 display for it to run correctly.  To my knowledge there is no software update available to solve this.  If you moved the game for the purposes of the new display and possibly a touch screen multi-denom feature, then this will not work for you an you might as well move the kit back to the original machine.  If you moved the kit for the purpose of a different cabinet finish, then your quickest solution is to remove the entire door assembly including the 3 primary harnesses that run back to the mother board and simply swap set-ups with the original machine.   You can also instead swap just the displays but I find this to be more complicated with regards to the harness arrangement.  Study the scenarios while looking at the machines and decide fro yourself.

Good luck.

Apparently there' an adapter that makes it pretty easy to swap the 6-6-3 display out with a 5-5-2, but Cleo 3 & 5 reel should support the 6-6-3 with SG00621 according to a post idesign made.  See this thread: http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=7168.msg63925#msg63925
