Are there any magnetic adjustments on these. I have some that wont thake 20s or 5s and they all have the same software revision. I`m kinda puzzled why one will take the fives but not the 20s and others will take the 20s but not the fives . Could this be a calibration problem and how can I get this calibrated. Are these like a mars and be calibrated with a paper coupon

There is a dipswitch set on the side and you can turn off various bills.....

Hello!

How do you know they are they same software revision?  You are not just going by stickers, are you?

There is a calibration proceedure for them but you need a special piece of calibration paper to do it.  I'm sure one of our vendors above could supply you one.  But I'm not sure if it would help or not...

I don't think you can calibrate 145's like 200's or wba's     you need a special loop board and a meter to adjust all the pots one by one, not a easy task and time consuming.

yes all revisions match. Any idea who would have a calibration coupon or a list of componets and instructions needed to do a calibration I am pretty new to this and I am not sure of what I need to do.

145 heads are obsolete. 200s are darn close.
IMHO - It might be cheaper/easier to buy a used one or trade yours from one of our respected vendors on the home page who will guarentee functionality.
Of course this also means that if you play with your existing one and royally screw it up, then replacing it won't be that much either.

what is the best DBV to have now for an S+?  a  WBA?

Since there has not been a software release for the S+ platform for the new $5.00 there is no value in upgrading to a WBA as it won't be supported there either.
Apparently they have released the new $5.00 for the DBV200 on the WMS platform and others.

It has been reported that IGT is getting a lot of pressure from the international community for the $5.00 upgrade and JCM has created it but have not yet released it until IGT gives its approval. Its my understanding that IGT wants to kill off the S+ platform and this is one way to do it. I would think that the international community who buys up the S+'s would now be looking at Bally or WMS. I personally would think that this is a very tricky equation for IGT to manage. We know that the international groups are not buying new machines from IGT but their consumption of used equipment does give the US casinos a market (and incentive) in which to get something for their old units. SO has IGT analyzed the market and determined that enough of the S+'s are out of the casinos and they don't need to worry about that. On the other hand if the international group is buying Bally and WMS and the casinos are selling off their old stuff that does present IGT with a void to fill but also the competition.

I have heard that the new $100 bill will not be supported on the DBV200 escentially brining it to end of life but have no firm confirmation of that.

The manual for the DBV200 seems to be in the "Submit a new File" section and the instructions for calibration are on page 20.

Hi   you guy's got me confused  Scratch Head    Wildbushman---- do you have a 145  or a  200 head??    If you have a 200 head then procede as Dan #2  instructed,,

if you have a 145 head   then get a 200 head and procede as Dan #2 instructed.

All dbv 145 heads. As I understand it I would need the paper plus some type of calibration machine to calibrate these validators. Anyone have any other Ideas on a way to do this
