Thanks to all ( StatFreak ) it was the harness and a special thanks to Buzz  applause  Hail who sent me one ( a Harness )                                     Well I looked and read all the post for my problem and still can't get it to work. The DBV-200 works in my other Bally 5500 ( I tested it ) and on this machine I can't figure it out. I turn the machine on. I feed it a bill and it takes it and it will not give credits, then after a few seconds of doing this it beeps then flashes red. The board is good too. Anyone have any other ideals to why this is happening?....Thanks for taking the time to read...

Bad wiring harness? Just a thought, as similar behavior happened to mine and that was the cause.

Yes still no change (dip switch ). I'm gonna look into the harness that plugs into the motherboard and hopefully that will do it.
Thanks for your time...

Well I changed the power supply and back plane and still no credits when I insert bill..I'm guessing it is the harness itself......Thanks to all that replied.... Scratch Head

Hi mate

One thing you might want to try is swapping IC U25 and IC U34 with each other on the MPU, also on the harness check out the grey wiring pin out (BV connector to Back Plane) against a good machine. Had exactly same problem some years back but did no document it. Good luck.

cheers
