Wild Thing!

« on: May 10, 2009, 02:55:02 AM »

My IGT slant top has a DBV-145. When the power is turned on, the BV goes through a start up sequence but then it just runs like there's money in it. I have removed the unit, checked everything I can think of, but I can't seem to get it to stop.

Any ideas? I have also changed out my cash can, but that didn't help. I see some threads on BVD-145, but nothing that mentions something like this.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob  There are some great Pics on the site of what is most likely your problem alas I could not find them.  Now when reinstalling your transport note two small ears on lower back of transport these ears must go into the slots in the chassis.  Buzz

One thing you can check is to make sure the four pins on the right side of the head are straight in line. Sometimes when one is bent over and not making a connection will cause this type of problem.

This is exactly why I was looking for a FAQ. I'm not sure what some terms (transport, pins, etc...) are since I have not dabbled with BV before. Here are some pictures of my BV and the slot on the game itself that it slides into.

BTW: What is the red handle lever for?

Rob

Hello!

I think you are talking about my post...I've put a link below...check it out.  Now this was for an IGT machine, so I'm not sure if it will apply....

Rob   Pins  are electrical connections (pins inside a plug)  Transport is the part that Dan circled the ears in red. ( he calls them pins) BV head is the square Black part that is attached to transport . Red lever lowers the gear to cash can Lever MUST be up when every thing is installed properly. You follow Dans instruction in his post, every thing explained better than I can. Buzz
