Title: Bally 6000 91-0 error and more
Post by: rjpohl on November 22, 2008, 10:25:48 PM
Just got 4 of these and I'm trying to make at least 3 good ones.  I powered it up and got the following two codes (flashes back and forth) 38 then 91-0.  From the manual the 3x codes are hopper related and the 91-0 is not receiving progressive data.
It is coinless so there is not coin comparator or hopper in the machine.
where do I start?  Do I need to do a ramclear similar to IGT slots?

thanks
Bob

Here's a few pics of slot machine

Bob first thing is to get 1 machine complete with hopper, compairitor, board. then turn it on also you need clear chips they instsll in U28 and U43  What code do you come up with on a complete machine. then install other boards and see what codes come up on them. then we can go from there

I don't have hoppers or coin comparartors, these were TITO and I was planning to keep them that way.  Can I do that?
thanks
Bob

You should be able to set it up for coinless.
You could start with a saferam clear then set your hopper limits (0000) and progressive settings.   Are you planning on setting up the progressive?

I have a Blazing 7s progressive myself.  With the Bally`s machines, I always suggest to have clear chips available (I have a few sets myself) `just in case a catastrophic failure occurs.

Thanks,
Wayne

Suggestion:  I remember seeing a few of the Bally TITO that had a jumper plug for the hopper/plug in.  In fact, I pulled some of these jumper plugs and use them when I'm working on the 6000/s.  I'll get one out and take picture and detail the pin "jumps".  It's just a couple wires.
