Title: IGT ROM bank adapter Post by: poppo on November 08, 2010, 02:21:38 AM I built this adapter a while back when there was some talk about doing it. It uses a AM29F040 512K EEPROM to emulate a 64K ROM (8 banks). It will work in IGT slots and probably anything else that uses 64K ROMS. The first 3 switches select one of the 8 banks. Of course one must have a programmer capable of programming a AM29F040 EEPROM. The EEPROM has to be programmed separately and then put in the adapter.
The adapter had to be totally rewired to work with the EEPROM, hence all of the wires. Anyway, I have never really used it and only built it to prove it could be done. The first person to post a "I'll take it' can have it for free (chip included).
