Title: How should I secure ends of reel strip together Post by: Bigcheeze on November 18, 2010, 06:40:34 PM I have a replacement strip for the 4th reel on my Big Cheese. It has an extra length that is white.
The reel strip that I took off obviously had this extra length cut off. Is there a preferred tape or adhesive to use to secure the ends of the strip together without risking damage to the new reel strip? The old strip had a very strong 'yellow-ish' adhesive holding the ends together. Thanks in advance for any info! "scotch type" tape, as it is thinner and seems to work better for me at least... There is a "gel" that is used so that knick-knacks do not fall off shelves, it's called "Museum Putty" and it is clear. It has the same consistency as the stuff that credit cards are attached to paper when mailing out and you can peel it off at will with no marks. Maybe, try some of that and see if it fills the bill.

But I warn you - the strips may never come off again...lol >>> Title: Re: How should I secure ends of reel strip together Post by: poppo on November 18, 2010, 09:30:29 PM ...., but prefer using clear two sided "scotch type" tape, as it is thinner and seems to work better for me at least...
