Title: Is this PSR wrong? Post by: poppo on December 01, 2010, 03:57:00 PM while fiddling around with my eeprom project, I was setting the machine up for Double Diamond Deluxe using SS4245 and SP1271. The PSR for SP1271 says:
Reel-Spin Sound <0> [2] Options are reel-spin tones and reel-stop sounds {0} or reel-spin tones only {1}. However, when I set it to 0, I get only reel stop sounds. When I set it to 1, I get spin tones and stop sounds. What's the deal? :103- Title: Re: Is this PSR wrong? Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 01, 2010, 04:08:31 PM :72- Must be a typo...
I've noticed that but never posted about it really. Title: Re: Is this PSR wrong? Post by: poppo on December 01, 2010, 04:16:10 PM :72- Must be a typo... I've noticed that but never posted about it really. Thanks. At least I know it is not something weird going on with my spare MPU or something else. Title: Re: Is this PSR wrong? Post by: knagl on December 01, 2010, 04:37:23 PM It's a typo. The options on any S+ are either reel spin tones (with the handle solenoid for stop 'sounds'), or no spin tones with the speaker-generated reel stop sounds. The audio chips on the S+ were incapable of producing both the reel spin tones and the reel stop sounds at the same time (which is part of the reason they used the solenoid to generate the stop sounds).
