What is the machine doing / not doing ?. It looks like your power supply is ok as all three LEDS are lit up. Does it make any kind of noise / do button bulbs come on when you start it up ? Most probably fitted with a ceronix monitor. These are normally pretty reliable. Can see it on your picture but apart from the signal cable going from the CRT to the processor board there should also be a power cable coming from the CRT and plugged into the power supply. Halway there - In the right index but you need to create a New Topic for requests. What base SW do you currently have. The africa base SW supports Key on/Key off functionality. You will also need to add some additiona wiring and a keyswitch. Ian g'day Ian, well ill try and cover everything, there are two red lights that come on on the game board itself(the third light that is not on is the 'external battery' light, when the machine is turned on at the power board, the flouro's come on and all the buttons light up except for two on the bottom row in the middle, the speaker was not set up so i connected it and there is no noise coming from that, the monitor is plugged into where it should be all ok there but it does absolutley nothing when powered up, and yes it is a ceronix monitor - it also makes a humming noise which is constant..but think thats just the power - dont have a key for the audit lock but have the jackpot/reset key - when i press reset button on game board the buttons on the front go off then come back on. thanx in advance Dave Title: Re: aristocrat mk4 manual hopper and tech advice needed Post by: proten on December 07, 2010, 09:17:04 PM To make sure that the monitor is getting power, unplug the monitor at the power supply and plug
it in a separate plug. If that gets the monitor to work then check the fuses at the back of the power supply. Then to run the self test, you hold the "Mem/Reset" button while turning on the Machine. This will get you to the system test. Hope this will help get you started. Title: Re: aristocrat mk4 manual hopper and tech advice needed Post by: proten on December 08, 2010, 04:09:30 AM The monitor is not doing any thing? No static or clicking when turning on?
Then that means that the monitor is having issue, if you unplug the lead from the MPU board ( the black lead from the front of the MPU) then pull the monitor out of the front. The power lead will be in the back right corner. Repair the monitor and then you can get into the rest of the machine. The hopper can be purchased from many parts suppliers and here are a few. http://www.worldwide-gaming.com/s/Hoppers.html (http://www.worldwide-gaming.com/s/Hoppers.html) http://home.sprintmail.com/~chetsowinski/slotmachineparts-aristocrat.html (http://home.sprintmail.com/~chetsowinski/slotmachineparts-aristocrat.html) Title: Re: aristocrat mk4 manual hopper and tech advice needed Post by: TZtech on December 08, 2010, 04:53:47 PM Hi
The great thing about Ceronix is that they have all the manuals and schematics available for free on their website- http://www.ceronix.com/products_modellists.html There are two types the 2092 and 2093. You should be able to see what yours is on the back of the monitor chassis. If you know which end of a soldering iron to grab onto and where to source parts you can attemmpt a repair. There are plenty of repair tips on this site for ceronix monitors. First thing is to check the fuse on the crt board. If you are not confident about trying a repair maybe try these guys - http://www.tektronikenterprises.com/. They are in Oz so should save you getting parts from the USA. Not sure what the laws on home wonership are there though. Ian Title: Re: aristocrat mk4 manual hopper and tech advice needed Post by: SS308 on December 09, 2010, 12:10:24 AM Hi mate,
As for the hopper it is the same as Mk5.1 as the cabinets were identical except for a door change when Aristocrat put a bill acceptor in, your coin mech & diverter are the same too. There are places in Auz that sell them.I think I have a manual for 540 as well.send me an email to my username at hotmail dot com. Any chance of you sending me a copy of the Mk4 manual? I am trying to get a Mk4 working for my "archive" room. It would really be appreciated. My email is craigt@wozagaming.co.za Regards |
