coin in error.. I'd replace the compare coin, sometimes one gets jammed up on top of it. Clears by opening and closing door.

A list of common IGT error codes and resolutions can be found through the "Rick's FAQ Files" button at the top -- here's a direct link: http://www.newlifegames.net/igterrors/

If the "thing/parts" included the coin optics, then you're for sure going to get a coin-in error as the machine needs to see the working set of optics to get past that.  Try swapping in the optics from a known working machine to see if the problem goes away.  If it does, you know that the issue is with the coin-in optics that you removed.

THE RIGHT ANSWER " IF YOU GET CODE 21 " YOU NEED A NEW ONE OF COIN OPTIC

Statfreak is right, might just be dirty or bad plug connection or wrong coin insert on optics among other things. If you unplug comparitor completely then you have to put a jumper plug in where the harness couples to the machine wiring behind the comparitor bracket

That sure sounds familiar.  :71-

Remember when you get a code 21 it does always go away after you replace the part sometimes you need to do a clear and reset the bv. If you do not have a clear pull the cmos chip for 10 seconds and that will take you to 61.
