If the "thing/parts" included the coin optics, then you're for sure going to get a coin-in error as the machine needs to see the working set of optics to get past that. Try swapping in the optics from a known working machine to see if the problem goes away. If it does, you know that the issue is with the coin-in optics that you removed. If you unplug comparitor completely then you have to put a jumper plug in where the harness couples to the machine wiring behind the comparitor bracket

If you do not have a clear pull the cmos chip for 10 seconds and that will take you to 61.
