Title: basics of S-2000 repair help needed Post by: badbaud on December 11, 2010, 03:55:43 AM Got a S-2000 into the shop - my first - error message is "low battery".
Both batteries read less then .1 VDC so I was planning to replace them. I have no schematics or clear or set? chips for this game, what do I need, or need to do, to get the game back up after I replace the two bad batteries? I've had to replace the batteries as well, never needed a clear chip.
I'd be willing to bet that clear chips (and their usage) may be mandated by gaming commissions during some procedures but I've never seen a problem fixed by using one... Title: Re: basics of S-2000 repair help needed Post by: badbaud on December 11, 2010, 07:24:01 AM I've had to use them on Game Makers, and the Bally 5500, and the S Slot but I can see the migration away from their necessity in the newer games. Thanks for the info.
