Title: S2000 vs. S+ Opinions Post by: Yoeddy1 on December 13, 2010, 02:08:20 AM So I've read and heard from several stating that the S+ is a very sturdy machine and in some references it's stated that they are a bettor workhorse machine compared to an S2000.
Why? What's the difference? Cheaper parts on an S2k? Shorter lifespan on certain components? Some S2k reel strips were an issue with fade and easy to ruin, but other than that...what? Fair comparison Buzz, but how many years apart are S+ machines from S2000's? Is a decade about right? What went downhill with the S2k's? The S+ plainly doesn't have all the toys and options like an S2000. With this in mind - the power supplies will be the first to die on S2k's. Then you'll have MPU problems next...not too mention the billion extra lights that are in an S2k. The difference was probably felt on the casino floors. But for home use - they will perform as well as an S+ and with proper maintenance - will last just a long. |
