Title: No signal = bad XU3? Post by: cruisepl on December 13, 2010, 04:07:57 PM I tried swapping out a couple games in my 550 machines, specifically tried to install Yukon Gold and got a "no signal input" message after doing the ram clear and reinstalling the game EPROM. I checked previous posts here that seemed to point towards a CPU board so I swapped boards and got the same message. I made sure all the chips were fully seated and correctly installed with the notches facing the correct way and made sure the boards were fully seated as well, same message. I then tried a few other chip sets, X Marks the Spot, Jackpot Party and Instant Winner all work fine on both boards so it has to be a problem with one or more of the Yukon Gold chips right? I have never tried this set of chips before today so I can not confirm that all of them are good. The only thing I can think of is that the Yukon Gold XU3 chip in my set is a copy while all the rest are factory. Possibly this chip is corrupt or just a bad copy?
The troubleshooting section of the 550 manual does not have this specific message listed so I ask the question is will a bad XU3 chip cause the machine to give me a "no signal input" error message? Title: Re: No signal = bad XU3? Post by: hdm72222 on February 24, 2013, 04:27:34 PM Hi
