Title: S2000 power supply pin location
Post by: jer3270 on December 28, 2010, 06:06:19 PM
Hi again,I have 2 s2000 machines one is dated 04/00 and the other is 02/04 having a problem with the dispay's netplex link down(as BUZZ and BUNKER know)THANKS for the help,along with everybody else! I pull what I think is my bad power supply out of the/00 and pull the good power supply out of the/04 and the pin location is different in the power supply connectors.I go to purchase a power supply from a guy and he say's they are all the same. :279- Does anybody have any input on this ? I'm thinking they are not all the same or the pins would be in the same location. Thanks for the help again!

There are differences in old/new Game King power supplies. If you put an old GK power supply in a newer machine it will do absolutely nothing (the AC input pins are different, so no there is no DC power output).  I haven't seen it in a S2K machine, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were some differences between older/newer models as well.  I think your best bet is to order the new power supply by the part number on your old one (assuming it worked at one time in your machine).

Original Gameking 19" with 035 processor has a different power supply than the newer models do.  This older power supply is not compatible with the newer machines.
I don't know if the earlier 13" and 17" models with the 035 processor had this same power supply, but I assume so. I have never seen these older supplies in an S2000.

I have come across at least five different manufactures of power supplies that are used in a S2000  three reel  machines. they were all interchangeable.  they are: Autec/MCP8011,  Win Tact  203F11,  3Y  CP9826,  Condor, and International.  All had a 24 pin output connector.
pinout legend:
1=+13 vdc  red wire                     13=+13 vdc  red wire
2=+13 vdc  red wire                     14=+25 vdc  orange wire
3=+25 vdc  orange wire                15=+25 vdc  orange wire
4=Bground  Black/orange               16=Bground  Black/orange
5=Bground  Black/orange               17=Aground  Black/red
6=Aground  Black/red                    18=Aground  Black/red
7=Sin in       black                          19,21,20,23  no connection ( pin 20 is also another 115/240 vac input)
8,9,10,12    no connection              22=Neutral  115vac  common  Blue wire
11= F/G      green/yellow                24=115 vac  115vac  hot  brown wire.

I put the wire color so you could see that it should match up to the cabinet wiring.
Also you will notice that IGT uses a standard wire color versus its function.
Meaning:any connector that has a solid red wire and a black/red wire should have +13 vdc
            any connector that has a solid orange wire and a black/orange wire should have +25 vdc
             any connectors that have a solid blue and a solid brown wire  should have 115vac

Some people were looking for a source to tap into these voltages for their projects. A good rule is always verify the voltage first, anyway , this will give you a guide and a starting point.

If you verify that the 115vac inputs are the same for your power supply,you should be able to put 115vac to the pins listed and test the supply out of the machine. Exercise EXTREME CAUTION and be sure of what you are doing before applying any voltage. :98-

Hopes this helps

Jim

Hi Guys, i have problems to wire this PSU, i have only the PSU, can you help me to rewire this PSU to test if works or not?

I see the pinout but on the board and connector of my 3Y CP9826 no any colours or pin numbers (horrible for technicians)   :25- .

Other thing my PSU is 240V or in my country i use 220-240V

I don't have good electronic skills but I'm better day a day.

Greetings and sorry for my English

i put a pic of the PSU

No one can help me? the builder of this PSU refuses to give me the information, that is a bad support, the Argentine site of IGT never read my email, i am lost with the pinout.

I only have the PSU to test.

Thanks

You can just open the PSU and locate where is the AC input. It is easy to locate them because there is a fuse in the input. Once locate them, it is easy to find the rest pins.
