Title: Universal Coin Conversion Dollar to 25 cents Post by: doddsie on December 29, 2010, 11:12:08 PM Hi,
I recently won a Universal Slot Machine in a raffle. I do not know anything about this machine and am wondering if you can help let me know: What machine I got? What will be required to convert to use quarters instead of dollar coins. It is called the Double Nutty Jackpot. On the side the serial number says: 11119 Inside the only number I can really see is 8515-C-75 Thanks for any information! Thanks for posting pics! You have what I would call a standard Universal slot. Made from 1985 to early 90's. They have no real model number or name. It will have the 8116-A2 or A3 mpu board. I do not recognize the coin comparitor, not sure what brand it is? And your coin-in optics (gray, below comparitor) are not dollar optics, they are quarter or nickel optics. But dollar tokens would probably work. To convert to quarters you would need a kit for the hopper. The kit would include knife, disk, and coin guard. Also, you may need to change out the comparitor, not sure on that one. Finding parts is difficult, my advice is pick up some dollar tokens off of eBay. It would be cheaper than converting to quarters. But make sure those optics see a dollar coin before buying a lot of them. Jim |
